Japanese peppermint oil has a soothing and pleasant effect on the throat, pharynx and vocal cords when taken 6 drops daily. You can also use the drops externally, where they have both a warming and cooling effect on the skin. Mix the drops in cream or oil and apply to the skin. Another option is a peppermint steam bath, which can help loosen up. Add four drops of peppermint oil to a bowl of boiling water. Hold your head over the bowl and place a towel over it, then inhale the vapors.<\/p>\n
